Bible lesson from Nathan

So, Nathan has been learning a lot about Jesus dying on the cross in Sunday school. He mentions it frequently, and especially right after being at church. This afternoon he kept talking about how Jesus died on the cross because He loved us, and saying things about God wanting us to be happy. We would agree, of course, even the hundredth time he said it. So - Nathan and I went to Winn Dixie and he asked for bologna when we passed it. (Of course, to Nathan, this is pronounced "blonies".) I got some, and when we got home, he wanted it right away - but he hadn't finished his lunch, and we had told him earlier that he needed to eat that first. He whined a bit but then got quiet. I was putting up groceries in the kitchen when I heard, "Mommy". "Yes?" (in a sweet voice) "God loves us, and He wants us to be happy and eat blonies." Well, needless to say, he did get a piece of bologna before finishing all the other food. It was just too cute.
